Do You Hear What I See, Art Sanctuary Gallery (628 S. 16th Street), FREE (donations accepted)

The centerpiece of the 34th Celebration of Black Arts Festival is the month-long exhibition, ‘Do You Hear What I See’ featuring rarely seen photographs of black music icons from by photographer C. Ron St. Clair. The showcase will include several candid photos of some of the most influential musicians in the 20th century, including Berry Gordon, Duke Ellington, Harry Belafonte, Patti LaBelle, just to name a few; and each piece will be available to purchase throughout the duration of the exhibition. Gallery Hours: M - Closed | T: 4 - 7pm | W: 4 - 7pm | Th: 4 - 7pm | F: 4 - 7pm | Sat: 12 - 4pm | Sun: 12 - 4pm

Learn from black women powerhouses who have used social media to build their businesses and their brands, followed by a fun reception, featuring:

One week before the Harlem Book Fair, its founder, Max Rodriguez will issue a special call to HBCU students and alumni to work with authors in various stages of their writing to review and perhaps publish their work.
